Goals

The main goal of the annual edition is to show how comprehensively they reflect the efforts of federal and regional organs of power in:

  • Supporting mass-scale physical training and sports including legislative, normative and legal assurance;
  • Increasing the role of physical training and sports in the development of human capital in Russia;
  • Developing professional sports and sport infrastructure;
  • Developing Olympic ideals;
  • Promoting international sport cooperation;
  • Propagation of the healthy way of life and counteraction of drugs in sports;
  • Developing public and state system of sport education.

Other important goals

  • Represent Russia as a country of sport achievements with the developed sport industry;
  • Present the best Russian research results and achievements in the sphere of physical training and sports;
  • Become the presentation component for the promotion of Russia’s interests, its role and status in the international Olympic and Paralympic movement;
  • Highlight the preparations for hosting Winter Olympic games 2014 in Sochi;
  • Underline the main changes in the infrastructure, which are taking place in the subjects of the Russian Federation, which acquired the right to host World Football Cup 2018.
